Today I found myself studying in the library at my college listening to Pandora on my iPod Touch. After quite a few songs, they hit with an advertisement (usually about buying Pandora Plus). The advertisement was for this new application call "rdio" (pronounced "r-dee-oh"). The advertisement stated that you can listen to any song you want, at anytime. you could even sync some songs within the app to play offline. So I decided to download it and see what it was all about. I created up an account with them and was soon searching for some of my favorite songs. Immediately I tried out the offline syncing to see how it is. As I'm writing this, I am listening to one of the songs offline. It's a great app, but one downside is that after the trial (7 days from when you sign up) you can opt to continue listening for $4.99. As a college student, I just don't have that kind of money to dish out. (Instead you should use web app Grooveshark.com which I've talked about before)
Besides the price, it's a great product. Plus if you have a few email accounts, you can just keep signing up different ones...then it turns into a few weeks of listening to free music offline.
